Error: Cannot find a device...(due to Microsoft Network components removed).
Error:
Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run Windows or a Windows application...If you still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file. Vnetsup.vxd
Cause:
The Microsoft Network components were removed from the network properties, but the entry to VNETSUP.VXD was not removed in the Registry.
Solution:
Remove the entry referring to Vnetsup.vxd from the Registry.
WARNING: This procedure should only be performed by an advanced Windows 95 user or system administrator. Before making any modification to the Registry, be sure to make backup copies of the Registry files System.dat and User.dat. Using the Registry Editor to modify the Registry incorrectly could cause serious problems that may require the reinstallation of Windows 95. 1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Run...'. (The 'Run' dialog box appears.)
3) In the 'Open' box, type REGEDIT, and press ENTER. (The 'Registry Editor' window appears.)

4) Remove Vnetsup.vxd from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTROL\INSTALLED key:
a) Double-click to open the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' folder.
b) Double-click to open the 'System' folder.
c) Double-click to open the 'CurrentControlSet' folder.
d) Double-click to open the 'Control' folder.
e) Select 'InstalledFiles'. (A list of installed driver files appears in the right-hand pane of the 'Registry Editor' window.)
f) Select 'Vnetsup.vxd' from the list of files in the right-hand pane.
g) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Delete'.
5) Remove Vnetsup.vxd from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\VXD\VNETSUP key:
a) Double-click to open the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE' folder.
b) Double-click to open the 'System' folder.
c) Double-click to open the 'CurrentControlSet' folder.
d) Double-click to open the 'Services' folder.
e) Double-click to open the 'VxD' folder.
f) Select 'VNETSUP'. (A list of installed components appears in the right-hand pane of the 'Registry Editor' window.)
g) Select 'Static VxD Vnetsup.vxd' from the list of items in the right-hand pane.
h) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Delete'.
6) Select the 'Registry' menu and select 'Exit'.

7) Restart the computer to enable the changes to the Registry.
